Both instructors are available for team instruction. Of course, we don’t do it like most. Our work with teams focuses on the kids learning, not impressing the parents in the stands with great demonstrations as 15 kids stand around half the time. We run our practices like our clinics, never more than 6 at a time. There are a few different ways we can help you practice listed below.
Skating: Kelly
She will skate them as a group for the first few minutes of practice. The remainder of the practice we ask the coach to send 4-6 players at a time to one end so she can work on the skills. Again, it is the small group that is the key to proper instruction. The coach can continue to run his normal practice at the other end.
Stick Handling and Shooting: Wayne
He will skate them as a group for the first few minutes of practice. The remainder of the practice we ask the coach to send 4-6 players at a time to one end so he can work on the skills. Both instructors
With both of us, we can essentially run your practice. We like having at least one coach on the ice with us at the younger ages to handle any equipment issues, etc. that may occur so we can continue doing what we are supposed to do. We can focus on what the coach feels is the most vital or we can focus on what we see as the most vital. We can usually figure that out in the first few minutes. The same principle applies, we make sure the kids are moving, but moving doing things that are done correctly and of use.
